When the Government announced the lock down measures back in March, we began teaching classes on Zoom. Although this type of training has its obvious disadvantages, it has surprisingly had some benefits too. The classes have been a great success for adults and children in keeping on top of their fitness and maintaining normality. We have all learned to adapt our training, and in some ways, training can be more personalised. Some students even managed to grade remotely during this time, such has been their progress.
For those of our students who were not able to use Zoom, we provided tutorial videos, and offered the chance for them to send videos of themselves to us for feedback.
We have now begun to have 6 person training sessions outdoors.
Initially we took the decision not to take on any new members but just to work with those we had, however we have now decided that as the time approaches for face to face training again, we will offer a starter package, online for beginners. It consists of some one-to-one time online with an instructor as well as some group classes. The idea is that someone can come to the regular classes already having gained a grounding in the basics online. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to find out more.
