We take safeguarding very seriously and are committed to the welfare and protection of our young members. We make every effort to ensure that children feel secure and confident in our classes, so that they can enjoy learning Taekwon-do without fear. Bullying will never be tolerated and any incidents will be dealt with swiftly.
Our instructors and Welfare officer are DBS checked, and receive regular training in safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults. Some of our safegurading training is over and above that which is required by law and by the NGB. Instructors are always willing to listen should anyone have any concerns about their own, or another young person's wellbeing.
Mr Pete Chesters is the club Welfare Officer. You can approach him with any concerns you may have, including any which you would rather not discuss with instructors. As well as being our Club Welfare Officer, he is also a police officer who is experienced in dealing with safeguarding concerns in his work.
Pete can be contacted on: 07545305072, or you can speak to him during or after a lesson.
