The UK Taekwon-Do Association's National Black Belt Seminar and Grading, was held for the first time in Liverpool this weekend, hosted by Wirral UKTA. Taekwon-Do red and Black belts came from all over the UK to take part in the course, and some also to grade.
Seven of our Wirral UKTA students graded to 1st Dan Black Belt, and one student graded to 3rd Dan Black Belt, with 4 ITF Grand Masters conducting the examination.  Wow, what a fantastic weekend!

A brand new ITF competition is coming to the UK for the first time in October. The ITF Children's Games is for students below 14 years of age, and puts a whole new slant on Taekwon-do competitions. It is hoped the new events will inspire and excite youngsters. The event will take place in Swindon on 7th October.  We can't wait to get our youngsters involved!

A great opportunity for students to prepare for National events, and make new friends.

A good night was had by all at the Christmas party & Awards evening in December, as we celebrated the end of a full and successful year.

The disco was paused for a short demonstration by some of the students before the Tenet Awards were presented.

This years award winners were, Rueben, Ruben, Alexandra and Lindsey. All great role models who have a positive influence on their fellow students. Well done.

A fantstic set of results at the BTF Championships in Birmingham.
Between them, our 10 competitors won 6 GOLD medals, 4 SILVER and 4 BRONZE. In patterns, sparring, and power, again making us one of the highest scoring schools at the competition.

Only two students went to the London Open this year, but both came away with medals. One teenager from the Liverpool school, getting a gold and a bronze, and one teenager from the Wirral school getting a silver and a bronze. Great work both!

We had some great results from the Scottish Championships on May 28th. Our little team managed a fantastic 3 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals and 3 Bronze medals. We were a bit short on photo opportunities with eveyone competing and a long journey there and back same day.
