Event Details:

Patterns
Competitors perform the pattern applicable to their grade or one grade below.
They will be grouped by belt colour & age (under 13 years, 13 - 17 years, 18+).
Males & females will be mixed.

Sparring:
competitors will be grouped by age; under 13, 13 – 17, and 18+. They will also be grouped by height for under 13's, weight for over 13's. Boys & girls will be mixed under 13. White belts will not be allowed to spar (hence reduced entry fee). Students will also be grouped by belt colour according to the number of entries, so for example green tags might go in the same category as yellow tags & yellow belts or they might go in with green belts. This will be done so as to best match sizes and numbers of competitors once all entries are in.

Special technique:
For under 13's - flying side kick over the greatest distance,
for 13 – 17's - flying high kick for greatest height.
No special technique for over 18's

Power:
Over 18's only. Students will be grouped into male / female, black belt / coloured belt.

Categories may change depending on numbers but we will endeavour to do this in as fair a way as possible,

This has been a very successful event in the past with a great team spirit and good sportsmanship. Get your applications in as soon as possible, as we may have to close entries for some categories if they get too full!
